"Connections" is staffed with a full time Youth Care Worker - Karen Robertson and one full time teacher - Jane Male. We also have a contingent of peer tutors who support the needs of the students who access the services offered by Connections. These services are fourfold.
• a cohort group for discussion of concerns, goals and needs
• a one on one reconnect component focusing specifically on personal concerns
• a course specific work package sections that supports students needing one on one academic support
• an in-school suspension and reflections
Connections is all about trying to connect the students' needs with the available services that offer the support necessary for success within the school, whether that need is social, emotional or intellectual the goal is the development of CARE.
